Encouraging the nation to get crafty for young people’s mental wellbeing Prince's Trust
There is a mental health crisis facing young people today. Cuts to provisions for young people and community programmes has led to the UK having the highest rates of self-harm in Europe.
20 minutes of craft can significantly reduce anxiety and increase mindfulness
Working with Prince’s Trust Young Ambassadors, we hosted workshops at Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place festival to trial different craft activities.
Inclusion drives purpose and authenticity
With The Prince’s Trust Young Ambassadors at the heart of the campaign, we ensured they showcased their talent and shared their stories of how creativity has helped their own mental wellbeing.
The Great Create Community
Fundraising Campaign
The campaign calls on people across the UK to host Great Create parties to help transform young people’s lives. We hope to encourage the nation to get creative in groups at home, work, in local communities and schools. Our campaign creative drives awareness through Fearne’s and Prince’s Trust social channels. In collaboration with Prince’s Trust Young Ambassadors, we created How to Host guides, activity books, demonstration films and assets to promote your event.
Sustainable Fundraising
Research demonstrated our audience wanted the fundraising to be sustainable and responsible. No cake bakes in schools, single use plastics or wasting water. Our campaign was 100% digital and requires only upcycled, recycled or common household materials.
The public want more meaningful participation in fundraising. The Elephant Room understood this and pitched a wonderful creative campaign which really brings our purpose to life in a way that the public can enjoy. What makes this campaign so powerful is its inclusivity, allowing the public to directly connect with the very cause they are supporting.
